Boone County Library Marching Into March

The Boone County Library is marching into March with activities and gearing up for the eclipse.

Terri Register and Amy Griffith appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to talk about what the library is doing this month. An eclipse will happen at the library on April 8 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. It's called "Eclipse on the Street," and the library will have glasses to view it at the front desk.

Register said there are activities all day. There will be vendors too.

Griffith said over 25 of them will sit on the sidewalk. A couple of food trucks will offer service as well. Face painting, cornhole and more are expected.

Additionally, a planetarium will run during the day in the library. Griffith and Register talked about other activities too.

Children's activities leading up to the eclipse include space suncatchers, craft moon rocks and a planetarium are planned. Register talked about the adult program.

A fraud prevention education time will occur on Tuesday. The Master Gardeners will speak on March 14 and March 21.

Adults and children are welcome to the library's planetarium on March 26 from 4 p.m. 6 p.m.

The library's puzzle exchange is still active. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Griffith and Register is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
