Boone County Library Kicks off 2024 Activities

Boone County Library has activities for the month.

Amy Griffith and Terry Register from the library appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss activities for January. On Tuesday, a computer class will be hosted at the library.

A cooking class will also occur this month. On Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m., Hometown Health will discuss NARCAN, a medication to treat overdoses.

On Jan. 23, they will discuss LIBY, the library's digital reading platform. Register said the library now has more than 5,000 magazines on the platform.

On Jan. 25, beaded bookmarks will be made. Register said on Jan. 30, the library will host a Valentine candy jar craft session. Later, Griffith talked about activities for the children's department.

The library also started a puzzle exchange. Register said anyone who has puzzles can make trades with the library for new puzzles.

The library will close for MLK Jr. Day. More was discussed on the broadcast.
