Boone County Library February Events

The Boone County Library has a lot of events and activities this month.

Terri Register and Amy Griffith appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss what the library has in store for February. Register spoke about the Friends of the Library.

The Friends of the Library has a Valentine's Day bake sale on Feb. 14. On Feb. 16, the American Red Cross will have a blood drive.

The drive is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone wanting a blind date may find what they were looking for.

Register said that "Blind Date with a Book" is this month. Visitors can pick up a surprise book from the library.

Puzzle exchange is still active at the library. There are more activities for for adults.

Griffith talked about the events and activities for children. She said children and young adults can also do the blind date book activity.

She said this month will launch with a "Readers Cafe." Older kids will read with younger kids in the. library.

Griffith said she hopes to have that activity on a monthly basis. On Feb. 8, kids are welcome to do another activity.

Griffith said kids can make Valentines boxes to take to school. She has already purchased the boxes and items to decorate with; the activity is free.

There will be a Dr. Suess program at the end of the month. More was discussed on the broadcast.
