Boone County Library Activies for July

People looking for something to do this month can find plenty of activities at the Boone County Library.

Amy and Terri from the library appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Thursday to discuss the activities. The summer reading program continues; the program is for children and adults. Adults in the program are entered into a weekly drawing. The prizes have several local sponsors.

Terri said "kindness rocks" are a project of the month. "Fairy silhouette paintings" are also scheduled for July. Aside from craft projects, the library will host cooking classes.

Tuck Campbell from Whispering Pine Observatories will stop by the library to teach attendees how to use telescopes. He will also inform everyone of upcoming sky events. July 27 is the end of the adult summer program.

Amy said July 10 will see a puzzle piece art activity for kids. Lego lovers can find a fun activity on July 11. It's bridge building, and the winning bridge will go into the library's "Lego city."

Amy said that later on in the month, on July 19, the library will host "ice cream in a bag." Attendees will make ice cream outside; signing up is required for this event. 25 spots are available. Signups are taken over the phone or in person at the library.

More information is on the library website. Additional information was given on the broadcast.

The full interview with Terri and Amy is available on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
