Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway Talks new Boone County Headquarters and More

Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway talked Thursday about the new building for the Boone County headquarters and more.

Hathaway spoke on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday about these topics. He said he thought purchasing the building was challenging but said it was the "easy part." He said remodeling is difficult. He said he's meeting with architects on Friday, and he added that he is going to meet with construction managers. Two other people will join Hathaway.

He said two members of the quorum court are coming with him: the budget committee chairman and the grounds chairman. "So, hopefully, we can get something moving," Hathaway said. The Boone County judge also talked about offices currently in the building.

He said the assessor and collector are in the building. He expressed hopes to move the Veterans' Services office to the new building in order to close the old federal building; Hathaway discussed all of this and more on the broadcast.

The full interview with Hathaway is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
