Patrick Hunter, executive director of the Boone County Heritage Museum talked Friday about the new museum building.
He said museums move slow. "One might find a museum even operationally ten years behind the pass, but the fact is, right now is a very important time," Hunter said Friday during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast. Hunter added that it's important because the museum has a new building; possession of the building was made possible by the Harrison School District.
Hunter credited the district's "generosity" and assistance with building along with a "great deal on the property." The building sits on two and a half to three acres. Because of this, the museum has enough square feet to annex for the purpose of creating a "fully-fledged archive room."
