Boil Water Order Remains for Part of Newton County

The Arkansas Department of Health says in a release that a Boil Water Order remains in effect for a water provider in Newton County.

The boil order for Mockingbird Hill Water Association was issued January 11 due to multiple meters failing throughout the system for residents from Old Highway 7 to the Fairgrounds to Hillside Drive to Will Jones Road. The boil order issued on January 6 for the area around Will Jones Road remains in effect due to several water meters and exposed lines freezing.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
