A bill filed last week looks to open some sale limitations on raw milk in Arkansas.
According to a KARK story posted by KTLO, House Bill 1048 would change state law to no longer prohibit the off-farm sales of raw goat, sheep, and whole milk.
If passed, consumers would be able to go to local markets to buy milk rather than going to dairy farms producing it.
While proponents of the bill say it is a step on the right direction to loosen restrictions put in place in 2013, some health professionals are concerned about the dangers of increasing sales of unpasteurized milk.
