Berryville Woman Second Person Charged with Crimes in Baxter County

A Carroll County woman has now been charged with crimes that a man from Marion County is also facing charges. 

According to a release from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office posted by KTLO, 44-year-old Cheri Joanne Becker of Berryville, has been arrested in connection of a theft on January 2 when a victim in rural Mountain Home reported his parked vehicle had been broken into and a wallet had been stolen.

Becker was interviewed by investigators where she admitted being at the victim’s residence and stated the other suspect, 41-year-old Derek Baker of Flippin, got into the victim’s truck where he took the victim’s wallet and chainsaw. She also admitted to going to the various locations with Baker where the two of them used stolen credit cards.

Becker is facing felony charges of breaking or entering and theft of property along with a misdemeanor charge of theft of property. She is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond. Baker is already in custody for these and other charges from previous cases.
