Tanner from Be Elite Sports talked Wednesday about the organization and upcoming free basketball clinics.
Tanner said during Wednesday's broadcast of KHOZ's "Around The Table" that he and his dad brought the organization to Harrison when Tanner was in school. "He started it in Little Rock with a buddy of his, and then we took that same concept and moved it down to Harrison," he said. He said they are trying to get kids to start youth sports before seventh grade. Be Elite Sports is hosting a clinic to start kids early.
The free clinic will be located in Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center on Aug. 1. It's for K-1 boys; it starts at 6 p.m. Second and third-grade boys and girls start at 7:30. Tanner said the goal is to get kids involved in basketball before high school and will cover basics. Jake Gray with State Farm is sponsoring the event.
