Area Communities Meet About Upcoming Eclipse

Area communities and organizations are continuing to look ahead to next year's major eclipse.

On Wednesday, representatives from Baxter, Marion, Fulton and Boone counties gathered at ASU-Mountain Home for a live table top drill for the upcoming solar eclipse.

During the event, groups brainstormed and identified areas of concern with the influx of visitors to the region as many counties are in the path of total totality. It is estimated Mountain Home and surrounding communities could see three times the population of visitors to the area.

The eclipse will take place on April 8, 2024 with the path of totality to cover areas of both Arkansas and Missouri.

More information on the meeting can be found on the KTLO Website.
