A Heart to Help Hearts

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's new nurse practitioner has a heart to serve hearts.

Nurse Practitioner Amanda Horne is a new addition to NARMC's Cardiology clinic; she appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday. Horne has lived in Arkansas for seven years and has worked in hospitals for close to 20 years.

She said she has done nursing for 17 of those 20 years. She became a nurse practitioner about five years ago.

Horne has a heart for helping hearts. She revealed that heart problems and early deaths are in her family history.

Later, the nurse practitioner talked about the rise of the profession and more. She will begin seeing patients at NARMC on Monday.
