Roger met his loving wife, Judith Boyd in high school and were married on September 2, 1961 at the First Assembly of God Church in Branson. One of their grandsons was married `on their 62nd wedding anniversary; September 2, 2023, where the couple took the dance floor alone to celebrate the occasion.

Roger loved cars, tractors and figuring out solutions to problems among other things. He will always be remembered driving / working with his truck or helping a neighbor with a project especially if his John Deere could be involved.
