Mary Lou Olson, age 84, of Golden, Missouri passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at her home. 

She was born June 1, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Louis and Lorraine (Kaufmann) Cuba. On October 9, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri she was united in marriage to Jerry Olson, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Steven Olson and his wife Angie of Omaha, Nebraska, Thomas Olson and his wife Charlotte of Boerne, Texas, David Olson and his wife Suzanne of Conway, Arkansas and Edward Olson and his wife Sara of Ozark, Missouri; four sisters, Celeste Cuba of St. Louis, Missouri, Elaine Morris and her husband Chuck of Marietta, Georgia, Pat Levinge of Athens, Georgia and Julie Valenti and her husband Nick of Humble, Texas; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Robert Cuba and a sister, Janet Brooks.
Mary Lou grew up and attended school in St. Louis, Missouri graduating from St. Elizabeth Academy. She attended business college and began her career as a secretary at Monsanto, later working for several churches before retiring. After she and Jerry were married, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska where they raised their family. In 1989 they moved to San Antiono, Texas and in 2005 moved to the Shell Knob and Golden, Missouri area. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, and doing needle point. She especially loved to read and do volunteer work for Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob, Missouri.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Father Philip Sosa, M.S.F. will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob, Missouri in memory of Mary Lou.
