Mrs. Carol Ann Truelove, 77, Taneyville.
Mrs. Carol Ann Truelove, 77, Taneyville, went to be with the Lord on Friday May 2, 2025, from her home surrounded by her family. Celebration of life service will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 3PM, at the Lodge Church, 16860 E. State Hwy 76, Taneyville, Mo. Jody Crain will officiate with burial being held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
Carol Ann Truelove was born July 20, 1948, at Ocala Fla, to Joseph and Edith (Lawton) Crain. She attended and graduated from Palatka High School, Palatka, Fla. She furthered her education at University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Carol Ann graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and was Capped at Graduation. She worked for several years in Palatka then went to Jackson Mississippi to earn her midwifery degree. Carol Ann worked in Hallandale, Ms. for two years before moving to Haiti where she worked at a women’s clinic delivery babies.
Seven years after she moved to Haiti Carol Ann met her soulmate George Truelove in Haiti when he went to Haiti on a mission trip in 1985. They were married Jan. 3, 1986, at Hollister, Fla. They celebrated thirty-nine years together this past January.
Carol Ann with the help of George founded a women’s clinic “Faith Medical Clinic”, where Carol Ann delivered babies and cared for the women in North-west Haiti. This clinic is still serving the women of today.
They moved to the Ozarks in September 2019 to be closer to family. Carol Ann attended Woodland Hills Family Church, Branson until her health prevented her from attending.
She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, children and gardening. Not just her own children but with George’s help they were foster parents in Haiti to over forty foster children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Sharon Gore.
Carol Ann is survived by her loving husband George Truelove; son, Austin Truelove (Kaelee); daughter Natasha Truelove all of Taneyville; two brothers Jody Crain (Barbara) of Fla; David Crain (Pamela) of North Carolina; two sisters Elaine Haymond of Wash.; Joyce Curtis (Richard) of Fla.; eight grandchildren who live in Taneyville and numerous foster children in Haiti.
