Anthony Marshall

Anthony Marshall, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on July 26, 2025.

Anthony (Tony) Travis Marshall of Harrison, Arkansas, formerly of Greenfield, Illinois, took the first step into heaven Friday evening, July 26th 2025.  He was born in Carrollton, Illinois, the son of Jim and Shari (Rives) Marshall.  


Tony enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising animals, primarily chickens, goats and sheep on his little farm on the mountain.  He and his wife Deb also raised Shih Tzu pups with his faithful companion, Bessie.  But mostly, Tony loved his family.  Grandkids spent the summers with Grandpa Tony and Grandma Deb every chance they got. 


Tony served with distinction in the United States Air Force, dedicating over 21 years of honorable service to his country.  He retired with the rank of Maste Sergeant, a testament to his leadership, commitment, and professionalism.  Among his commendations, he was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, reflecting his exceptional performance and dedication.  Throughout his career, “Tony earned several additional honors, each marking the high standards he upheld in his service to the nation.”


Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents Albert Leland and Rosemary (Allen) Rives and Leslie Orland Marshall, Sr. and Catlyn Joyce (Clark) Beach. He is survived by his wife Deborah (Burson) Marshall of the home, his parents Jim and Shari Marshall, of Diamond City, Arkansas; his sister, Tamara (Rob) Cook, of Marietta, Georgia; Children, Kayla Marie (Colt) Patton, Kasandra Elise (Josh) Marshall, Jaime Elisabeth (Cody) Brown of San Antonio, Texas; and Anthony Travis Marshall Jr., of Harrison, Arkansas.  Grandchildren include Danyel and Kasidy Garcia, William and Henry Patton, Dylan and Maggie Marshall and Rylee, Raiden, Abby and Allie Brown and Lucas Tovar.  Nieces, Lauren Victoria (Gil) Golan, and Robin Elena Cook; with nephew Jacob Alexander Cook.  He is also survived by in-laws Ethel and Erv Binegar and brother-in-law Rob (Donna) Burson and many cousins and loyal friends.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life with military honors is planned for August 23, 2025, by Pastor Mark Blount at 5:00PM, at the farm, located at 3917 Sansing Hollow Road, in Harrison, Arkansas.  Food will be provided followed by a fireworks display.  Please bring a lawn chair.
