
Richard Talbert Cope February 7, 1967 - April 28, 2022
Richard Talbert Cope, 55, a resident of Harrison, formerly of Rogers, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Mt. Vista Rehabilitation and Health Center in Harrison.
He was born February 7, 1967, at Harrison to Roy Hugh Jr. and Carolyn Ann Henson Cope. He was a master plumber and electrician, following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps. He had an outstanding memory and excelled in anything he put his mind to. He owned and operated a contracting company in Rogers for several years and had most recently started driving a truck over the road, which he truly enjoyed. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Harrison and was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Roy H. Sr. and Evelyn Cope and Hugh and Marie Henson.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn A. Cope-Sartin and her husband, Bill, of Harrison; a brother, Roy H. Cope III of Fayetteville; an uncle, James Cope and his wife, Laquita, of Alpena; a nephew, Brandon Wayne Cope of Harrison; two nieces, Christina Rosenberger of Ohio and Kara Michelle Cope of Fayetteville; several cousins; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rob Davis officiating. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery at Harrison under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Creager, Dale Preston, Aaron Ricketts, Eddie Smith, Todd Hefley, and Richard Saul. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Ricketts.
