The annual event for awareness opportunities in the Harrison Area is coming up on Wednesday.
Carrie Richter of the Harrison Lions Club visited Harrison's Original KHOZ's "Around the Table" program to discuss this year's event which takes place in the Signature Bank Community Room from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Richter said 35 organizations will be at the event to let people know their role in the community and what volunteer opportunities are available. She added that the event is a walkthrough event free of charge with lunch and door prizes.
Richter said the event helps in two ways, to let people know what each organization does and also to inform area residents how they can help.
Richter also talked about some of the programs that the Lions Club is involved in that will also be discussed during the expo fair.
