Two People Arrested After Incident, Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Two people have been arrested following an incident where a person was threatened and later were involved in leaving the scene of an accident.

According to a report from Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell posted by KTLO, his office received a report on Feb. 13 from a man stating an individual had made threats against him and harassed his wife.

The man stated while he and his wife were at a Dollar General in St. Joe, a man, identified as 29-year-old Randy Eddings of St. Joe, had harassed his wife. He stated after his wife entered the store, Eddings had made a comment towards her and was asked to leave her alone. Eddings then proceeded to allegedly threaten bodily harm towards him.

A few moments later, Eddings and a female, later identified as 50-year-old Beverly Fultz of Harrison, left the store and started traveling towards Harrison. Not long after they left, Fultz, who was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty and her passenger Eddings, were involved in an accident where the vehicle left the roadway, struck a state highway sign. They allegedly fled the scene without reporting the incident. Deputies found the vehicle approximately a quarter-mile from the accident scene.

On Feb. 15, Fultz spoke with law enforcement at the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office where she stated it was her who crashed her vehicle into the road sign and left the scene without reporting it. She also confirmed Eddings was her passenger at the time. In addition, Fultz cooperated with law enforcement and provided additional information towards the investigation.
