Superintendent Pratt Talks Current School Happenings

Harrison Public Schools has a lot happening.

Harrison Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Stewart Pratt appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about what's going on. Preschool registration is approaching, and kindergarten registration is active. Parents can call the district office for assistance.

Pratt commented on the April 8 eclipse. While school will be in session, he said that students will still get to see the anticipated eclipse. Teachers have provided lessons in astronomy leading up to it. The schools will provide glasses.

The superintendent talked about the possibility of high traffic that afternoon. He expressed trust in Harrison's police and others to keep traffic moving.

Buses could experience a delay, but Pratt said he thinks it will work. Later, he talked about high school sports, music and more. A new development is that the elementary school has a new test.

Instead of ACT Aspire, students will take the ATLAS test. The writing test was taken in March, and the rest of the test will happen at the end of this month and the beginning of May. More was discussed during the show.

The full interview with Pratt is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
