Stormy Morning Around the Lakes Region

A listener submitted photo of hail damage to a home along Fruit Farm Road near Ridgedale from Wednesday morning's storms.

The predicted Severe Thunderstorms made their way to the Lakes Region early this morning leading to numerous Tornado Warnings in both northern Arkansas and southern Missouri.

No reported touchdowns so far from the National Weather Service however several reports of hail were submitted including from the Ridgedale area of southern Taney County where one inch hail and strong winds caused damage to some structure siding, windows, and vehicles. Several trees were reported down in the area of Highway 86 between Table Rock Lake and Highway 65. Other hail reports came in from around Indian Point, Kimberling City, Merriam Woods, and Powersite in Missouri and in Arkansas around Olvey in Boone County. 

Another report field to the National Weather Service reported damage at Berryville Public Schools. There was tree damage and metal roofs peeled back according to photos shared on social media. 

Cooler and dry weather will be in the forecast for the next days with a warm-up coming on Easter Weekend.
