Storm Recovery Continues

More information is below on Storm Recovery for the region.

Locations have been added in Boone County to help those residents needing to use shower facilities as well as a special event scheduled for later today. The full release from the Office of Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway is at the end of this story.

Other surrounding counties have similar efforts ongoing. According to KTLO, the American Red Cross has set-up at the Marion County Fairgrounds from 8-6 daily until further notice to help with those needing to charge phones and get out of the heat.

Carroll County Judge David Writer tells KTHS that public spaces will be open there to help residents needing cell phone charging. He added that damage clean-up of primarily downed trees will continue through the week.

Both Entergy and Carroll Electric Coop continue to report many power outages though work is progressing in getting power restored. Most of the Lakes Area outages are in Carroll, Madison, and Marion Counties in Arkansas with a few outages still reported in Barry and Stone Counties in Missouri.
