The Arkansas Climbers Coalition is hosting a summit on the last weekend of March at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch.
David Thompson and Joseph Walker from the coalition appeared on the Friday broadcast of KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about the group and the summit. The summit will educate people on caring for land once they move from indoor climbing spaces.
The coalition isn't a national organization; it was started close to 12 years ago. They hosted a climbers' festival in 2022 for new rock climbers. The aims to "protecting and preserving rock climbing" in Arkansas the coalition.
They work with public and private landowners to keep the climbing lands safe.
