One arrest has been made in a pair of storage unit thefts recently in Harrison.
According to the probable cause affidavit by the Boone County Sheriff's Office, the thefts were reported in June when a set of master keys were lost and owners of two separate units reported missing property. Video footage indicated the actual thefts had occurred in April and police were able to get from the footage and subsequent investigation the name of one of the people. She told authorities she was on the property with two people that night, including Guillermo Martinez of Harrison, and was helping move items out but was told the units belonged to Martinez.
A search warrant was later issued for Martinez's property where several of the items were located. Martinez is in the Boone County Detention Center facing charges in the theft with a bond of $5,000. Another person is still being sought by authorities in connection with this case.
