Nicholas Horton of Opportunity Arkansas Talks Getting rid of the State Income tax and More

Nicholas Horton talked about Opportunity Arkansas on Monday.

Horton spoke about the new organization during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast. Horton said this new organization started in the last few months. Their website explores "generational problems in Arkansas." These include crime, poverty and more. Horton talked about his background.

He grew up in Arkansas and lived most of his life in the state. His professional experience includes working in think tanks, including national ones. He said legislators need help forming ideas on how to help Arkansas. Later, Horton discussed removing the state income tax.

He said this issue is a prominent reason for starting Opportunity Arkansas. He said many in the "Little Rock Swamp" don't want this tax to disappear, but he said he thinks people like incoming Governor Sarah Huckabee-Sanders is "very, very serious" about addressing the state income tax.
