Another round of severe thunderstorm pelted part of the Lakes Region with hail Thursday afternoon.
Reports from the National Weather Service indicate various sizes of hail fell in arounds from just north of Branson around Walnut Shade down to Huntsville. The biggest hail reported was in areas between Diamond City and Protem around Bull Shoals Lake where hail with a diameter of an inch and three quarters was reported. Another area of one inch hail was reported in areas between Blue Eye and Green Forest with large hail also reported by a spotter along Highway 65 south of Omaha.
Colder temperatures will begin to filter in today with for the weekend, high temperatures will be only around 60 with strong northwest winds. The forecast does call for temperatures to get close to freezing Saturday night and while a Freeze Watch in in effect for areas north, no advisory has been issued for the Lakes Region at this time.
