Man Arrested for Threatening Ex-Wife, Judge in Child Custody Case

A Colorado man has been arrested after sending threatening messages about his ex-wife and the judge handling their child custody case in Boone County.

49-year-old Jeremy Jordan of Rocky Ford, Colorado has also lost his attorney following the incident. The attorney has withdrawn from representing Jordan and the judge has recused himself from the case.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Jordan emailed 29 messages to his ex-wife March 30 and 31 after he allegedly had gotten inappropriate with his children during a judge approved phone visit. The ex-wife says she argued with Jordan and hung up on him. When she awoke the next morning, she had received the multiple emails.

One of the messages read “I’m going to (expletive) you up BAD.” Another said he would “kill the judge and the ex-wife.” He also wrote “Please please please please tell the judge…anyone.”

The victim told deputies Jordan has multiple guns.

It’s noted in the affidavit that Jordan has a violent criminal history.

Jordan is charged with felony counts of threatening a judicial officer and terroristic threatening in the first degree and is being charged as a habitual offender. His bond is set at $75,000.
