Man Arrested after Assaulting Teenage Daughter's Boyfriend

A man has been arrested after he found his daughter and a boy naked in her bed and allegedly beating the 16-year-old boy.

38-year-old Kristopher Brandon Carlton of rural Harrison was arrested following the incident last month.

According to the probable cause affidavit, law enforcement were called to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison for a report of an assault. A Boone County deputy spoke with the victim who had swelling to his left eye which was also bleeding. The teen was later transferred to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The victim told the deputy he and the girl and another friend went to the girl’s house and he slept with the girl. The next morning, the girl’s father, Carlton, came into the room. While the boy was attempting to leave, he says Carlton started hitting him in the face repeatedly. The victim ran outside and got in his vehicle, before Carlton pulled him out and was allegedly kicking him.

The deputy says a doctor at the hospital told him the victim had fractures to his orbital bones around one eye.

Carlton is charged with a felony count of battery in the second degree and for being a habitual offender due to previous felony convictions. He is free after posting a $7,500 bond.
