LEARNS Act Impact on Arkansas School Districts

The recently passed Education Bill in Arkansas has school districts across the state adjusting to the new law.

Ryan Huff, Superintendent of the Omaha School District, says during an interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program that the district’s budget had to be adjusted to meet the new standards including the teacher salary minimum and being able to maintain programs and staff within the budget guidelines.

Huff adds that some administrators have concerns about public funds being funneled into both private and home school education.
