Jerry Ezell Talks Cardiac Rehab

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's (NARMC) Jerry Ezell spoke Thursday about the center's cardiac rehab department.

During KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast, Ezell said the cardiac rehab section sees people who experience a "heart event." He stressed that it's crucial patients come in soon after suffering a heart issue. "Our goal is to strengthen that heart muscle," Ezell said.

He explained that strengthening the muscle involves a specific exercise plan. "A lot of people come in, and they think they're going to, you know, get all back in shape and everything, but we're really just focusing on the heart," he said. Weekly lessons are also included.

Equipment like treadmills, bikes and more are used. All of this and more was discussed on the program.

The full interview with Ezell is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
