Harrison To Have "Freshman Only" Day to Start School Year

The Harrison School District will hold a Freshman-Only First Day of School for the second year in a row.

High School Principal Jay Parker, during an interview on KHOZ’s “Around the Table” program, says the district decided to use the first day as an orientation day for Freshman to ease into their first day as a high school student. Parker says it gives administrators and teachers time to visit with the new students and talk about the transition into the next level of education.

The first day of school for Freshman is Monday August 14 with all high school students returning to class the following day.

Parker also discussed other items about the upcoming school year during the interview that can be seen on the Around the Table Facebook Page.
