Harrison Man Charged with Assaulting Father

A Harrison man was charged with domestic battery after he allegedly assaulted his father.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Harrison Police Department was dispatched to a residence along Stephenson in reference to an unwanted person.

Upon arrival, officers met with the victim where he stated he was unlocking the basement for his son, identified as 38-year-old Jacob Langford, when Langford became angry about a comment made about an upcoming probation hearing. Langford then pushed the victim into the window of the garage door, when glass broke, cutting the victim about his left eye. The victim told officers Langford allegedly took his cellphone and would not allow him to call 911.

Langford was charged with a felony count of domestic battery and a misdemeanor count of interference with emergency communications. He was released from the Boone County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
