Harrison Man Charged with Assault

A Harrison man faces multiple felony charges after following a man to his home and allegedly assaulting him.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Harrison Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance on June 8 along Alma Street. Upon arrival, the victim’s mother told authorities her son and his girlfriend were followed home by someone from a restaurant.

When they pulled into the driveway, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Corvin Lee, got out of his vehicle and began to assault the victim. The victim’s mother stated when she went outside to see what was going on, Lee pulled out a long gun and pointed it at her, told her “to move out of the way or he would run her over.”

The victim told law enforcement he and his girlfriend were out to eat with her family when Lee was filling out an employment application with his girlfriend. He stated when they left the restaurant, Lee followed them to his home. When they arrived Lee got out of his vehicle and struck him in the face. The victim states he doesn’t remember what happened next.

The victim’s girlfriend stated while they were at the restaurant, she and the victim were playfully flipping each other off and assumed Lee thought they were flipping him off. As they were driving home, she told officers she noticed Lee following them with his window down, yelling and flipping them off. She stated as the victim was opening the passenger door, Lee came running up the driveway when he allegedly started to punch the victim in the face, causing him to hit his head on the door and fall to the ground. She stated Lee punched the victim at least three more times.

The victim was taken by family to North Arkansas Medical Center for treatment. A short time later Lee was arrested and transported to the Harrison Police Department for questioning.

During the interview, Lee stated he was filling out a job application at the restaurant outside when he walked past the victim and stated he observed the victim flipping off his vehicle. Lee stated the victim allegedly threatened to have his girlfriend “beat up” Lee’s girlfriend. Lee told officers he then followed the victim to his residence, walked up to him and asked why he threaten his “ole lady.” Lee admitted to officers he hit the victim a few times.

Lee stated a man then came out of the home and ran after him with a hatchet. He then got into his vehicle and left, but pulled into a dead-end road. When he turned around he stated the victim’s mother was standing in front of his vehicle and would not move. Lee stated he did not pull a gun out, nor owns one, but admitted he pulled out a pole and told them it was a gun.

Lee is facing felony counts of second-degree battery, aggravated assault and terroristic threatening. He also faces misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and driving on a suspended license. He was released from the Boone County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
