Funding Application for RCOzarks Signed

An organization has gotten signatures from two area officials in applying for funds to help develop a recovery center.

Boone County Quorum Court Judge Robert Hathaway and Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson sign documents in February paving the way for Recovery Center of the Ozarks to apply for funding from the Opioid Settlement received by the state of Arkansas to help develop a recovery center for the area.

During a recent Harrison City Council Meeting, officials with the group stated that the treatment center would be initially taking people locally that want to get help with their opioid addictions and initially it would be men only but programs for women and children will soon follow.

More information on the story can be found in the Harrison Daily Times.
