The City of Harrison releases information on pothole reporting following up information released by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

The information, released on the City of Harrison's Facebook page, reminds motorists of the formation of potholes throughout the region, especially after the winter weather events that took place in January.

The city reminds residences of the report procedures depending on the potholes being reported:

The City of Harrison monitors the TextMyGov site, encouraging citizens to report potholes. Text Hi to 870-280-2266, and you’ll receive a menu of options, and reporting a pothole is one of those.

The roads outside the city limits are actually county roads, and a county representative said to call 870-741-8611 to report potholes.

ARDOT maintains approximately 16,500 miles of roads in the state, and they, too, need help fixing those potholes. Their responsibility includes the Bypass, Hwy 43, Hwy 7 North, Hwy 7 South, and Hwy 65.  Citizens can go to ar.gov/pothole to make a report.
