A Boone County man is facing several felony charges in connection with an alleged assault.

Forty-three-year-old William Crossetti of Harrison was booked into the Boone County jail after allegations of the assault were made.

According to the probable cause affidavit, law enforcement was contacted by Bergman Middle School officials in reference to a student alleging Crossetti had assaulted her. The victim said Crossetti had been violent towards her and broke her phone in multiple pieces. When the victim attempted to retreat, Crossetti reportedly kicked a hole into a door and entered the room. The victim says Crossetti began to touch her inappropriately.

The victim also said Crossetti grows marijuana and smokes it often with others in the household.

During the search of the home, investigators found four marijuana plants, several pieces of drug paraphernalia and six firearms. One of the firearms had its serial number ground off.

Crossetti did admit to smoking marijuana with other members of the household.

Crossetti is facing felony charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, sexual assault in the second degree, introduction of a controlled substance into another person and possession of a defaced firearm. He is also charged with five misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
