Area of Frost, Freezing Possible Overnight

The weather extremes of the week comes full circle overnight with possible areas of frost and in some areas, a hard freeze.

The National Weather Service has various Advisories, Watches, and Warning in effect for early Sunday Morning.

A Frost Advisory is in effect the the Missouri Lakes Region including Branson Area. Barry, Stone, Taney, and Ozark Counties are all under the advisory with temperatures around 32-34 degrees expected overnight. Sensitive outdoor vegetation could be damaged or be killed if
left uncovered.

A Freeze Watch is in effect for the Arkansas Lakes Area Counties including areas around Harrison and Eureka Springs. Counties in the Freeze Watch include Madison, Carroll, Boone, Newton, Searcy, and Marion. While low temperatures are predicted to stay above freezing, some areas could see temperatures dip below freezing according to the weather service which could harm outdoor vegetation.

A Freeze Warning in in effect for  areas north of the Lake Region including the Springfield area where sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 to 32 degrees are expected.

Highs will be in the upper 50's to low 60's both today and Sunday with another cold night Sunday night. Temperatures are expected to stay below normal this week with a chance of rain through the middle of the week.
