The construction of another new hangar is in the works for the Boone County Regional Airport.
Airport Manager Judy McCutcheon tells the Boone County Quorum Court at a recent committee meeting that the airport is eligible for a grant totaling $400,00 for the construction of the new hangar which will be a little bigger than the one recently completed. For this grant, the airport would match 20% of the total cost with the state picking up the other 80%. The grant should be awarded before the end of the month.
The Harrison Daily Times reports that Quorum Court's Budget and Finance Committee agreed to present an appropriation ordinance to the full court at its meeting next week.
