Read classic American literature recently brought to new life on both stage and screen. We will be reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Baum, 1900). The book is free at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/55. This book is written at a 7th grade reading level and a Penguin Reader level 2. The 24 chapters are only a few pages each. The class is intended for speakers of other languages who want to broaden their foundational English skills.
