A woman has died as a result of a two vehicle crash in Baxter County.
The Arkansas State Police reports the crash happened around 7:15 Friday evening on Highway 62/412 in Mountain Home when a vehicle driven by Jason Boisclair of Gassville crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle head on forcing it off the road where it overturned and caught fire. The driver of the other vehicle, 27-year-old Tapanga Maxwell of Yellville was killed as a result of the collision. Boisclair and a passanger in Maxwell's vehicle, 42-year-old Brandon Phillips of Lincoln, were taken to area hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
This is the 61st fatality in traffic crashes worked by the Arkansas State Police in 2023.
