State Sen. Bob Ballinger Announces Launch of Reelection Campaign

Ballinger one of three now intending to run for Senate District 28.

From KTLO:

OARK, AR — State Sen. Bob Ballinger has announced the launch of his bid for reelection in the newly drawn state Senate District 28, which includes parts of Boone, Newton, Carroll, Franklin, Johnson and Madison counties.

Sen. Ballinger’s announcement points to a three-way race developing for this seat. Bob Largent of Harrison and State Rep. Keith Slape of Compton have both announced their intentions to run for the position.

Sen. Ballinger says, “I am excited to launch my reelection campaign to continue the work that has been done in my time in the state House and state Senate. We have made Arkansas a better place to do business, to raise a family and enjoy the freedoms that America was built upon. I have led the fight to expand our Second Amendment rights, and we have earned the recognition as the number one most pro-life state in the country. But now, more than ever, we need to stand strong as we face relentless attacks on Arkansas values and our way of life. While the new district lines include Arkansans who have not been able to vote for me in the past, I am confident that my record shows I am the clear choice to best represent both my current and new constituents.”

Before being elected to the Arkansas Senate in 2018, Sen. Ballinger served in the Arkansas House of Representatives.

Sen. Ballinger resides near Oark with his wife Jessica, with whom he has eight children. The Ballingers also have three grandchildren.

Outside of his service in the Senate, Ballinger owns and operates his own legal practice where he serves individuals, small businesses and families.
