NARMC Medical Plaza Family Practice Doctor has Broad Experience

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) family practice physician Robert Foy has training in other areas of medical care.

Foy, who works in the hospital's medical plaza, appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to discuss his work; Dan Dillard, the hospital's donor relations and grants coordinator joined him on the show. Foy is trained in baby delivery, caring for pregnant moms and caring for babies who are in the hospital's nursery.

He's not a "gynecologic surgeon" but does some "general gynecology" in his office. He is able to see any patients; at the same time, he will send patients who need specialized care to specialists.

Foy a broad range of experience. He has made rounds in hospitals to see patients and visited nursing homes to see patients.

The doctor lived in Lubbock, Texas before moving to Harrison, Arkansas. He and his wife heard about Harrison, visited the community and official decided to live in the Arkansas city.

Speaking about Harrison, Foy said he and his wife love Harrison. "We love it very much," Foy said. He also said that their love the city too.

Dillard said that the community support is the "best part about being there." He also promoted the hospital fundraiser called "One Day Giving Day" that will happen on Oct. 28.

The fundraiser involves a partnership of NARMC with 30 businesses and restaurants during which 10% of all sales will help local cancer services and Harrison cancer patients; the fundraiser will only run on Oct. 28.
