Marion County Man Charged with Stealing from Deceased Individual

A Marion County man has been arrested for stealing over $30,000 from a deceased individual.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Flippin Police Department received a report of a Bull Shoals man who had been depositing checks from a deceased bank account holder. 

34-year-old Vincent Delong opened an account at First Service Bank in October 2022. In November it was reported he started depositing checks into his account from an account holder who has been deceased since April 2020. In total, 15 checks were deposited within seven days totaling $30,770. 

Delong has been charged with a felony count of theft of property and 15 felony counts of forgery. He is currently being held in the Marion County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
