Marion County Man Arrested for Vehicle Stealing

A Marion County man has been arrested for stealing a semi-truck from a feed mill.

The theft leading to the arrest of 34-year-old Coleman McNeely of Yellville happened at the Butterball Feed Mill on U.S. Highway 62/412 west of Yellville.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, an employee of the company told a deputy the truck had been stolen and the theft deterrent system, consisting of a tracker and a camera, had been removed by the thief.

The truck was found later in the day with about $7,000 in damage that had been done to it.

Video footage was recovered from the camera before it was ripped out of the truck. The video was emailed to the deputy who showed it to other deputies and investigators. One of them recognized McNeely as the suspect.

McNeely is facing felony charges of theft of a vehicle valued at more than $25,000 and criminal mischief along with misdemeanor charges of unlawful removal of a theft detection device and having no driver’s license. His bond is set at $10,000 on those charges.

He is also being held on a failure to appear warrant. McNeely was arrested in December for commercial burglary and theft of property for an incident that happened in October. He was due in court Feb. 7 but did not show and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
