Charges have been filed in connection to a shooting incident in Newton County in December.
According to court documents and the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Clayton Douglas Wilson of Jasper is facing four felony and other charges in connection with the incident where he is accused of firing shots at a man who was going to Wilson’s residence to pick-up a female.
Later, deputies obtained search warrants while trying to locate Wilson and found him to be in possession of numerous firearms, ammunition and large quantities of suspected illegal substances.
Wilson was eventually located and is currently being held in the Newton County Jail.
