The City of Branson is set for Flag Day activities as one of the area's many celebrations of America 250.
The celebration begins today with the annual Rally Point Branson event that celebrates Veterans. It begins with the Kickoff Celebration at 5:30 at the Aquarium at the Boardwalk Parking Lot featuring live music, food trucks, and family activities along with the opportunity to connect with veteran resource groups.
On Saturday, the Rally Point Branson event will include the Sunrise Hike at the Dewey Short Visitors along with specials at several attractions including Dolly Parton's Stampede and Silver Dollar City.
The final day coincides with the Flag Day events scheduled in Branson beginning with Explore Branson coordinating the attempt to set a Guinness World Record at putting together the largest flag, made of the most small flags, a mosaic, high atop the Convention Center parking lot. The attempt begins at Noon.
Later in the day, the Red, White, and Blue Parade begins at 4 p.m. and will feature streets draped in flags, new murals, shops showcasing patriotic goods, live bands playing patriotic tunes, floats decked in red, white, and blue, and a strong display from local businesses.
Legends 1063 will have a Live Radio Party from 3:00 to 5:00 from downtown Branson along with live look ins across the Ozarks Dynacom Family of Radio Stations all day.
