A local U.S. Army Corps of Engineers specialist receives a special award.
The release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is below:
Dylan Edwards, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District supervisory natural resources specialist, receives the Mobie Price Natural Resources Specialist of the Year Award from Brig. Gen. George Walter, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division commander, and Col. Eric Swenson, Little Rock District commander, during Ranger Training Week in Mountain Home, Ark., Feb. 25, 2026.
The award honors the legacy of Mobie Price, whose integrity and dedication helped shape the Natural Resources Program. Over the past year, Edwards served as the sole chief ranger during a critical staffing shortage, ensuring uninterrupted support across recreation, shoreline, boundary, wildlife and forestry programs.
He also supports district wide ranger training, mentors junior staff and continues his professional development through programs such as the USACE Southwestern Division Regional Leadership Development Program.
Edwards’ service reflects USACE’s commitment to public service, stewardship and professional excellence.
