The full release from the CBCO is below:
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the exclusive provider of blood, platelets and plasma to patients at more than 40 hospitals across the region, is partnering with four area attractions to offer free admission and activities for lifesaving donors to help boost the blood supply this summer. Successful donors who give blood in June will receive a Give & Go Fun Pass, valued at more than $245, featuring free admission and activities to the following attractions:
• Fritz’s Adventure - Branson, Missouri: Two free admissions ($59 value)
• Andy B’s - Springfield, Missouri: One free hour of main lane bowling, including shoe rental, for up to six people ($60 value)
• SuperSplash USA - Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri: Two free admissions ($99 value)
• Northwest Arkansas Naturals - Springdale, Arkansas: Two free tickets ($30 value)
"Summer can be a challenging time for the local blood supply, with nearly 40 percent of donations typically coming from high school and college students who are away from campus,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “That is why it is so important for community members to step up and donate during this time. One hour and one donation have the power to save up to three lives and make a meaningful difference for friends, family and neighbors who rely on lifesaving transfusions.”
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donors provide all the blood for patients at Cox Medical Center Branson, North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, as well as over 40 other hospitals across the Ozarks.
