Current Sherriff Kenny Cassell will serve the residents of Searcy County for another term.
Republican Runoff Election results released Wednesday and posted by KTLO had Cassell earn 803 votes while his challenger Tony Dye received 631 votes. Cassell and Dye were the two top vote getters in a three-person race during the primary.
There is not Democratic Challenger for the spot in the November Election.
Meanwhile, the Republican County Collector's Nomination went to Melissa Ward with 781 votes, ahead of Jenny Gray's 630 votes. The sheriff in Searcy County previously also was the collector but those positions will be separated in 2027.
