Arkansas State Senator Stubblefield on Legislation Regarding TikTok

Arkansas State Senator Gary Stubblefield talked Friday about legislation he's sponsoring regarding the app TikTok.

Stubblefield spoke on this legislation for the upcoming session during KHOZ's "Around The Table" Friday broadcast. The senator said Senate Bill 4 seeks to put what the governor did in code. The bill he's sponsoring seeks to ban "all state employees" from using TikTok on Arkansas government phones and computers. Stubblefield discussed his fear and some dangers of TikTok.

He said his "greatest fear" is it took too long to act and called it a danger to the nation's security and children. He highlighted that there are separate algorithms for China and the U.S. He explained that China's are "wholesome" while those targeted at the U.S. are "highly sexualized."

All of this and more was discussed on the broadcast. The full interview with Stubblefield is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
